AICPA - Tax Section

Over 23,000 CPAs are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Tax Section. The Section provides guidance, information, and tax practice tools and keeps members up-to-date on tax legislative and regulatory developments.

Form 990-N and 990-EZ Filers - Friday, August 13, 2010

The IRS recently released guidance on filing relief for Form 990-N and 990-EZ filers in danger of losing their tax exemptions because they have not filed for three consecutive years.  All returns filed under this program are due no later than October 15, 2010.

 
QuickBooks Pro Advisor Certification - Friday, August 13, 2010

Amber Schrock, CPA has earned the QuickBooks Pro Advisor Certification having completed a comprehensive training curriculum developed and certified by Intuit.  With this she provides assistance to businesses in the setup and training of the various QuickBooks software programs, and helps clients to maintain their financial information in conjunction with our bookkeeping services.

 
State of Nevada Requirements for Contractors - Friday, August 13, 2010

The State of Nevada recently revised its statue regarding financial statement preparation requirements for contractors seeking licensure.  Depending on the bid limit, financial statements submitted to the Contractors Board will need to be either compiled or reviewed by an independent CPA.  Contact our offices for more information about the changes to the statute and our financial statement preparation services.
