Amber L. Schrock became a team member of Tompkins & Peters CPAs, P.C. in 2007 after having been a valuable part of the Finance and Human Resource Department at the Nevada Ballet Theatre. Her experience in audits, financial statements, and consulting allows Amber to focus on supervising the Accounting & Auditing department of Tompkins & Peters CPAs, P.C. Her experience in auditing has made her a valuable asset in the area of Non-Profit Organization, Home Owner Association, and Construction related business audits. Amber has the in-depth experience in accounting, auditing & accounting system support to work closely with clients to provide timely management information & advisory services.
As a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Amber demonstrates her commitment to achieving the highest quality audit. She also trains in specialized courses, generally exceeding Continuing Professional Education requirements; and is qualified to perform audits in compliance with Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book) & OMB Circular A-133.
Amber is a member of the local Business Networking International group (BNI) and also volunteers with the Opportunity Village and Block Kids and participates in the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC).
Amber is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Nevada (CPA #4927) and in Montana (CPA #5893). She graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. She is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint and with accounting software programs such as QuickBooks and Peachtree. She is a current member of the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants (NSCPA). Amber and her husband enjoy athletic activities, the performing arts and spending time with family and friends.
